Austral Ladies Tresses

Slender terrestrial to 50 cm tall. Leaves linear to narrow-lanceolate, to 15 cm long, to 1 cm wide, erect, shiny, dark green. Flowers 10-60, to 6 mm wide, pink and white, rarely all white; summer. Sepals ovate to triangular. Petals slightly smaller than sepals, blunt. Labellum oblong, concave, apical margins very wavy. Syn. S. sinensis (Pers.) Ames subsp. australis (R. Br.) Kitam.
