Rhyncholaelia glauca (Lindl.) Schltr.

Compact epiphyte or terrestrial. Pseudobulbs oblong to spindle-shaped, to 9 cm long, compressed, sheathed with papery bracts. Leaves oblong, to 12 cm long, to 3.5 cm wide. Flowers to 12.5 cm wide, fragrant, white, greenish or pale purplish, labellum white to pale yellow with a pink or purplish mark at base; winter to spring. Sepals oblong to elliptic. Petals linear to narrow-oblanceolate. Labellum obscurely 3-lobed, broad-oblong, tubular at base, margins wavy. Syn. Brassavola glauca Lindl.
