Pterostylis pulchella Messmer

Small terrestrial to 16 cm tall. Basal leaves ovate, to 2.5 cm long, to 1.5 cm wide, in rosettes on non-flowering plants only. Stem leaves 2?5, large and spreading. Flowers solitary, to 3.5 cm long, erect, green and white with reddish-brown suffusions; summer to autumn. Dorsal sepal with a slender point to 5 mm long. Lateral sepals erect, embracing tip of galea, joined in lower third, ending in slender points. Labellum oblong, curved, v-notched at tip, protruding slightly through sinus of lateral sepals.
