Pterostylis parviflora R.Br.

Tiny Greenhood

Small terrestrial to 30 cm tall. Leaves ovate, to 2 cm long, to 1 cm wide, in rosettes on side shoots of flowering or on non-flowering plants. Flowers 1?5, to 1 cm long, erect, green and white with brown on petals; autumn to winter. Dorsal sepal without a slender point. Lateral sepals erect, embracing tip of galea, joined in lower three-quarters, ending in short tapering points. Labellum oblong, curved, not protruding through sinus of lateral sepals.

P. parviflora is part of a complex of closely related species, most of which are still undescribed and poorly known.
