Long-tail Greenhood

Slender terrestrial to 45 cm tall. Basal leaves 6?10, ovate, to 4 cm long, to 1.5 cm wide, usually withered at flowering. Stem leaves 2?4, bract-like. Flowers 1?5, to 1.7 cm long, green or reddish-brown and white; spring to summer. Dorsal sepal with a slender point to 2 cm long. Lateral sepals pointing down, ovate at base, joined at base where concave, ending in slender free points to 15 cm long. Labellum lanceolate, bristly along margins, with an erect basal appendage, brown or green.
