Slender terrestrial to 30 cm tall. Basal leaves 6?12, ovate, to 3 cm long, to 1.2 cm wide, usually withered at flowering. Stem leaves 2?6, bract-like. Flowers 2?15, to 16 mm long, reddish-brown and white; spring. Dorsal sepal with a short point. Lateral sepals pointing down, ovate, joined for about half their length, concave. Labellum oblong, bristly along margins, with a basal mound, rounded at tip, reddish-brown.
