Banded Greenhood

Slender terrestrial to 35 cm tall. Basal leaves 3?10, ovate, to 3.5 cm long, to 1.5 cm wide, on non-flowering plants only. Stem leaves 3-10, lanceolate, to 5 cm long, to 1 cm wide. Flowers 2?10, to 15 mm long, reddish-brown and white; autumn to spring. Dorsal sepal with a very short point. Lateral sepals pointing down, almost round, joined for nearly three-quarters of their length, flat or concave. Labellum ovate, bristly along margins, with a small forward-pointing basal appendage, slightly notched at tip, reddish-brown.
