Tall Greenhood

Slender terrestrial to 40 cm tall. Basal leaves 3?6, lanceolate, to 2.5 cm long, to 1 cm wide, on non-flowering plants only. Stem leaves 3?7, linear, to 10 cm long, to 0.5 cm wide. Flowers 2?7, to 13 mm long, green and white; winter to spring. Dorsal sepal with a short point. Lateral sepals pointing down, ovate, joined for nearly three-quarters of their length, flat. Labellum oblong, bristly, greenish-brown with a dark stripe, slightly notched at tip.

P. longifolia is part of a complex of closely related species, most of which are still undescribed and poorly known.
