Paphiopedilum micranthum T.Tang & F.T.Wang

Small terrestrial. Leaves 4 or 5, strap-like, to 15 cm long, to 2.5 cm wide, mottled dark and light green. Flowers solitary, to 6.5 cm wide; spring. Dorsal sepal ovate, similar to laterals, white with reddish stripes, greenish at base. Petals ovate, wider than dorsal sepal, spreading, similar in colour to sepals. Labellum almost spherical, large, inflated, margins curved inwards, mostly white or pink.

China.

P. delenatii Guillaumin from Vietnam is a small terrestrial with mottled leaves, 1 or 2 pale pink flowers with red and yellow markings, dorsal sepal smaller than petals and a relatively small almost spherical labellum.

P. malipoense Shou C. Chen &Z.H. Tsi from China is a medium sized terrestrial or epilith with mottled leaves, solitary green flowers with purplish stripes and spots, dorsal sepal slightly smaller than petals and a relatively large almost spherical labellum.
