Paphiopedilum fairrieanum (Lindl.) Stein

Small to medium epilith. Leaves 4?8, strap-like, to 15 cm long, to 2.5 cm wide, dull green. Flowers solitary or rarely 2, to 4 cm wide; autumn. Dorsal sepal ovate, larger than laterals, 2-lobed at tip, margins wavy, whitish with purple veins. Petals oblong, sickle-shaped, margins wavy, colour similar to dorsal sepal. Labellum urn-shaped, brownish-green with purple markings.

Northern India and Bhutan.
