Grobya amherstiae Lindl.

Medium sized epiphyte. Pseudobulbs ovoid, to 3.5 cm long. Leaves 4?6, linear, to 40 cm long, to 1.5 cm wide, rigid. Flowers 1-10, to 2 cm long, not widely opening; autumn. Sepals narrow, lanceolate to spoon-shaped, green or yellow with purplish markings. Petals elliptic, much broader than sepals, almost transparent with reddish lines and blotches. Labellum midlobe broad, with 7 ridges, yellow with a purplish callus.
