Eria javanica (Sw.) Blume

Medium sized epiphyte. Pseudobulbs ovoid to pear-shaped, to 15 cm long, compressed. Leaves apical, 2, lanceolate, to 30 cm long, to 8 cm wide, thick. Flowers many, to 4 cm wide, mostly white or cream with yellow on the labellum; summer. Sepals lanceolate. Petals lanceolate, curved, smaller than sepals. Labellum 3-lobed, base with 3 or 5 ridges, midlobe long, often pointed at tip.

Himalayas to SE Asia, Philippines and Indonesia.

E. rosea Lindl. from China is a medium sized epiphyte with short, stocky, 1-leafed pseudobulbs and 3- or 4 flowered inflorescences of showy pink or pinkish flowers.
