Disa uniflora Bergius

Stout terrestrial to 70 cm tall. Leaves 5?8, lanceolate, to 20 cm long, to 2 cm wide, spreading, upper ones bract-like. Flowers usually 1?3, rarely to 10, to 12 cm wide, usually scarlet to orange, the dorsal sepal veined; winter. Labellum ovate, hooded, erect, spur to 1.5 cm long. Lateral sepals spreading. Petals narrow-obovate, erect.

D. tripetaloides (L. f.) N.E. Br. is a medium sized stoloniferous herb with erect several flowered racemes of white or pink flowers to 3 cm wide.
