Beech Orchid

Medium sized epiphyte. Pseudobulbs cylindrical, to 50 cm long, fleshy, erect or spreading. Leaves 2?5, oblanceolate, to 14 cm long, to 3 cm wide, persistent. Flowers 4-20, to 4 cm wide, white to cream. Sepals lanceolate. Petals lanceolate, slightly narrower than sepals. Labellum 3-lobed, midlobe pointed, side lobes rounded, with yellow and purple markings; spring.
