Golden Arch Dendrobium

Medium sized epiphyte. PSEUDOBULBS spindle- or club-shaped, to 30 cm long, clustered. LEAVES 2?4, oblong to lanceolate, to 15 cm long, to 2.5 cm wide. FLOWERS 5-20, to 5 cm wide, fragrant, golden-yellow, labellum with an orange throat; winter to spring. SEPALS oblong. PETALS obovate, wider than sepals. LABELLUM entire, almost round, densely hairy, margins fringed.

var. chrysotoxum Labellum with an orange throat.

var. suavissimum (Rchb. f.) Veitch Labellum with 2 purplish blotches in the throat.

India, China, Burma, Thailand and Laos.
