Coelogyne tomentosa Lindl.

Robust epiphyte. Pseudobulbs ovoid, to 6 cm long. Leaves 2, lanceolate, to 50 cm long, to 10 cm wide. Flowers numerous, to 4.5 cm wide, pale orange to salmonpink; spring. Sepals and petals similar, oblong, narrow. Labellum 3-lobed, yellow with brown markings on side lobes.

Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Often mistakenly cultivated as C. massangeana Rchb. f. C. dayana (Rchb. f.) Rolfe from Malaysia and Indonesia is a robust epiphyte with long, pendent, many flowered racemes of cream to brownish flowers with a brown and white labellum
