Calanthe vestita Lindl.

Robust terrestrial. Pseudobulbs ovoid, to 12 cm long, grooved. Leaves 3?5, lanceolate, to 60 cm long, to 20 cm wide, deciduous, appearing after flowers. Inflorescences erect or arching, to 70 cm tall. Flowers 6-12, to 6 cm wide, white to pink; winter. Sepals and petals similar, lanceolate to elliptic. Labellum 3-lobed, midlobe distinctly 2-lobed, throat yellow or pinkish.

Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and New Guinea.
