Bulbophyllum lobbii Lindl.

Robust epiphyte. Pseudobulbs ovoid, to 5 cm long, well spaced. Leaves linearoblong, to 25 cm long, to 7 cm wide, leathery, stalked. Flowers solitary, to 10 cm wide, on stalks to 15 cm long, yellow to reddish; all year. Sepals lanceolate, dorsal straight, laterals sickle-shaped. Petals linear, spreading. Labellum entire, ovate.

B. affine Lindl. from the Himalayas is a small epiphyte with stout rhizomes, oblong pseudobulbs, short strap-like leaves and solitary white flowers that are streaked with red.

B. biflorum Teijsm. & Binn. from Java is a small epiphyte with oblong pseudobulbs, lanceolate leaves and paired green or white flowers that are streaked and spotted with red or reddish-brown.

B. careyanum (Hook.) Spreng. from the E Himalayas, Burma and Thailand is a small epiphyte with distant spherical to oblong pseudobulbs, strap-like leaves and dense cylindrical racemes of green or orange flowers that are streaked or spotted purple
