Spider Orchid

Medium sized epiphyte. Pseudobulbs ovoid, compressed, to 10 cm long. Leaves 1?3, to 45 cm long, to 5 cm wide. Flowers 5?8, to 25 cm wide, greenish blotched with brown at base; spring to summer. Sepals and petals narrow, petals more than half as long as sepals. Labellum 3-lobed, white with reddish spots at base. Syn. B. brachiata Lindl.

Mexico to Venezuela.
