Leopard Orchid

Robust herb. Pseudobulbs to 80 cm long. Leaves to 30 cm long, to 4 cm wide. Flowers to 2.5 cm wide; spring to summer. Sepals and petals elliptic, spreading. Labellum midlobe oblong to almost round. Syn. A. gigantea Rchb. f., A. nilotica N.E. Br.

Tropical and southern Africa.
