Japanese Fatsia

Shrub to 5 m or more tall, the stems with conspicuous moon-shaped leaf scars. Leaves to 40 cm wide, divided into 7-9(11) lobes that are cut deeper than the middle, glossy above. Flower clusters whitish; autumn. Ovary with 5 chambers. Fruits black when mature, 8-9 mm wide.
