Shrub 2-3 m tall. Leaves opposite, shiny. Leaflets 3, elliptic to oblanceolate, 6 cm long, 3 cm wide. Flowers in terminal clusters held above the foliage, fragrant; spring.

A cultivar of the hybrid C. amazonica x C. ternata, with finely divided leaves and flowers that are pink in bud.
Leaves pale green to yellowish.
