Zinnia angustifolia Kunth

Annual herb to 40 cm tall, hairy. Stems erect, branched. Leaves linear to linearlanceolate, to 7 cm long, to 7 mm wide, more or less sessile. Capitula to 5 cm across; summer. Ray florets bright orange. Disk florets orange with blackish hairs. Achenes 3-angled, to 3 mm long. Pappus of 1 or 2 short bristles. [Z. linearis Benth.]
