Rhodanthemum hosmariense (Ball) H.E.Wilcox, K.Bremer & Humphries

Perennial herb to 30 cm tall with woody stolons, hairy. Basal leaves to 7 cm long, entire to divided, leaflets in 3s, grey-green. Stem leaves smaller, toothed to entire. Capitula solitary, to 4 cm across; summer. Ray florets white. Disk florets yellow. Achenes 10-ribbed. [Chrysanthemum maresii (Coss.) Morocco

 

R. gayanum (Coss. & Durieu) H.E. Wilcox, K. Bremer & Humphries, from Morocco and Algeria is similar but the leaves are greenish, the involucral bracts are pointed rather than rounded at the apex and the ray florets are usually pink.
