Perennial herb to 15 cm tall, stoloniferous, hairy. Basal leaves to 6.5 cm long, entire to divided, leaflets in 3s, silvery. Stem leaves smaller, toothed to entire. Capitula solitary, to 5 cm across; summer. Ray florets yellow, reddish towards base. Disk florets yellow. Achenes 4-6-ribbed and -winged.
