Rhodanthe chlorocephala subsp. rosea (Hook.) Paul G.Wilson

Annual herb to 40 cm tall, glabrous. Stems few, erect, little-branched. Leaves linear to oblong, to 2 cm long, to 3 mm wide, glandular. Capitula solitary, to 5 cm across; late winter to spring. Inner involucral bracts spreading, usually pink. Florets many, yellow. Achenes cylindrical, about 2 mm long, woolly. [Helipterum roseum (Hook.) Benth., 'Roseum']

R. manglesii Lindl., Swan River Everlasting, from SW WA is similar but has broader leaves, membranous bracts on the stalks below the capitula and whitemembranous outer involucral bracts. [Helipterum manglesii (Lindl.) Benth.]
