Olearia tomentosa (J.C.Wendl.) D C.

Spreading shrub to 2 m tall. Stems branched, covered with T-shaped hairs. Leaves alternate, ovate, to 7 cm long, to 4.5 cm wide, margins toothed, dull green and more or less glabrous above, cream- to brown-hairy below, petiolate. Capitula terminal, solitary or in corymbs, to 6 cm across, stalked; spring and summer. Ray florets white. Disk florets yellow. Achenes cylindrical, about 4 mm long, often curved, glabrous. Pappus bristles white.
