Shrub to 1 m tall, glabrous. Stems erect, branched. Leaves linear, to 2 cm long, alternate, margins entire, sessile. Capitula solitary, to 3 cm across; summer. Ray florets white, pink or purple. Disk florets yellow. Achenes hairy.
