Brittle Bush

Rounded shrub to 1 m tall, fragrant. Stems brittle, much-branched. Leaves ovate, to 8 cm long, entire or toothed, silvery, in dense clusters. Capitula radiate, solitary or in loose cymes, to 3 cm across; spring. Ray florets orange-yellow. Disk florets yellow or brownish. Achenes about 1.5 mm long.
