Annual to perennial herb to 30 cm tall, glabrous. Stems many, erect, decumbent or ascending. Leaves linear to oblong, to 8 cm long, entire, toothed or lobed. Capitula to 12 mm across; mostly winter to late spring. Outer florets lacking corollas. Inner florets yellow. Achenes 1.5-2 mm long, outer ones winged and glandular hairy.
