Florist's Chrysanthemum

Variable erect or spreading perennial, mostly 0.3-2 m tall. Leaves ovate to lanceolate in outline but lobed or coarsely toothed and to 8 cm or so long, grey-hairy below, strongly aromatic when crushed. Flowers highly variable in size, colour and form. [Dendranthema ×grandiflorum (Ramat) Kitam.]

Probably of Chinese garden origin

Grown as border plants or as exhibition and cut flowers.
