Common Chamomile

Perennial herb to 30 cm tall, rhizomatous, aromatic, hairy. Stems prostrate to ascending, little-branched. Leaves to 5 cm long, once or twice divided with linear segments, sessile. Capitula radiate, solitary, to 2.5 cm across; spring to autumn. Ray florets white. Disk florets pale yellow. Achenes of 2 types: those of ray florets about 1 mm long, hardly ribbed; those of disk florets about 1.8 mm long and 3-ribbed. [Anthemis nobilis L.]
