Annual herb to 1 m tall, glabrous or slightly hairy. Stems erect, hardly branched. Leaves to 9 cm long, usually 3-lobed, with toothed leaflets. Capitula to about 2.5 cm across, in leafy corymbs; autumn to winter. Florets yellow. Pappus of 2-4 short bristles.
