Coralberry

A dense shrub to 2 m tall with hairy branchlets. Leaves ovate, to about 3 cm long, 2 cm wide, hairy and slightly waxy-blue below. Flower clusters axillary in dense clusters; summer to autumn. Flowers white, bell-shaped. Fruit about 0.5 cm wide, carmine.

Leaves slightly smaller than in the type and with the margins variegated with yellow. ['Aureovariegatus', 'Variegatus']

Origin uncertain but raised before 1837.
