Prostrate, mat-forming shrub spreading to more than 3 m wide. Leaves linear to oblanceolate, mostly 1-5 cm long and 2-8 mm wide; margins entire or with a few teeth. Flowers 1-3 together on stalks to 2 cm long, each about 8 mm wide, white, spotted with purple; winter to summer. Fruit flattened, about 7 mm wide, smooth and translucent.
