Myoporum insulare R.Br.

Boobialla

Shrub to small tree. Leaves lanceolate to broadly elliptic, mostly 4-8 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, tip pointed, margins entire or toothed towards the tip. Flowers 3-8 in the leaf axils, on stalks 0.5-1 cm long. Flowers about 7 mm wide, white with purple dots; late spring to early summer. Fruit spherical to slightly flattened.

M. viscosum R. Br., Sticky Boobialla, from Vic and SA has relatively broad, sticky, lanceolate to ovate leaves with finely toothed margins.
