Westringia glabra R.Br.

Erect, rounded shrub to 1m tall, variable. Leaves in whorls of 3, to 1-2 cm long, 3-4 mm wide, slightly curled under. Flowers about 1 cm long, violet with maroon spots; throughout the year but mostly spring.

NSW, Vic

Rather similar to W. fruticosa but leaves broader relative to length, the lower surface sparsely hairy not silky-hairy; flowers violet rather than white.

W. 'Cadabra' is sometimes listed.

Plants available in horticulture often show affinities with W. amabilis.

W. glabra needs critical revision. Plants from Victoria currently listed under W. glabra may well be transferred to a new species.
