Open, aromatic, hairy shrub to 3 m tall. Leaves ovate, 1-3 cm long, 0.5-1 cm wide, blunt; margin with large teeth. Flowers in terminal clusters, corolla about 8 mm long, mauve; spring. [P. incisa R. Br. var. pubescens Benth., P. sieberi Benth.]
