Eurasia

f. argentatum (Smejkal) Mennema, Aluminium Plant. This is the most commonly cultivated variant, a trailing silver-variegated form that was given formal botanical status when it showed the potential to become invasive and weedy in Europe; it grows well in dry, shady conditions. Although given formal botanical status, this form is better known as the cultivar L. 'Florentinum'. It has also shown a tendency to become weedy in Australia. [Lamiastrum galeobdolon (L.) Ehrend & Polats., L. 'Florentinum']
