Phlox douglasii Hook.

Short, glandular-hairy, compact perennial to about 20 cm tall. Leaves about 1 cm long,1mm wide, rigid, linear to subulate and pungently pointed. Flower clusters of 1-3 fragrant flowers on short stalks. Sepals with prominent midribs. Petals to about 6 mm long, white, pink or lavender; spring to summer.
