Large Bindweed

Twining perennial herb. Leaves ovate to lanceolate, 5-10 cm long, 3-7 cm wide, tip pointed, base slightly arrowhead-shaped. Flowers solitary. Corolla white or slightly pink, 4-6 cm long; summer. Fruit capsule 7-8 mm long.

Temperate Europe, N America, New Zealand, much of Australia

A widespread urban environmental weed.

 

C. soldanella (L.) Roem. & Schultes is a cosmopolitan maritime weed.
