Tree Tobacco

Hairy shrub or small tree to 4 m high with an unusual umbrella-shaped canopy; prickles absent. Leaves elliptic, to about 25 cm long,12 cm wide, grey-green, with the lower surface paler with dense hair; stalk to about 8 cm long. Flower clusters of many flowers. Calyx 4-6 mm long, enlarging slightly in fruit. Corolla about 1 cm wide, bluish, hairy. Fruit 1-1.5 cm wide, dark yellow.

Naturalised in SA, Qld, NSW, Vic and Lord Howe Island, mostly in coastal areas.
