Chalice Vine

Climbing shrub. Leaves to about 14 cm long, elliptic, hairless. Stalk to 6 cm long. Calyx to about 6 cm long, with 4 unequal lobes. Flowers yellow, to about 20 cm long, cup-shaped, with a 5-veined tube, lobes 5, bent backwards. Stamens attached in the tube.

Mexico, C America

S. guttata is sometimes united with this species.
