Perennial herb to 30 cm high. Leaf blade lanceolate, up to 5 cm long and 2.5 cm wide; mucilage glands 4-6 at base. Flowers c. 18 mm long and 22 mm wide, flower stalks 8-10 mm long. Corolla salver-shaped, blue to purple. Follicles 10-11 cm long. [Tweedia coerulea D. Don, T. versicolor Hook.]
