Wiry vine to several metres long, latex clear. Leaf blade elliptic to elliptic-oblong, up to 13 cm long and 6 cm wide; mucilage glands 2 to 5. Flowers 33-41mm long,18-24 mm wide; flower stalks 20-25 mm long. Corolla salver-shaped, white or cream. Follicles ovoid, 14-16 cm long. [Stephanotis floribunda Schltr.]

M. suaveolens R. Br. from NSW is a subshrub to 1 m high, latex white. Leaf blade elliptic, lanceolate-ovate or ovate, up to 9 cm long and 3.2 cm wide; mucilage glands 1 or 2. Flowers 3-5 mm long, 3-8 mm wide; flower stalks 7-10 mm long. Corolla bell-shaped, cream. Follicles tapered at each end, ovoid, 5-11 cm long. It can be recognised by the small cream flowers 3-5 mm long.
