Common Periwinkle

Perennial herb to 20 cm high. Leaf blade lanceolate, elliptic or ovate, 15-45 mm long, 10-40 mm wide; tip acute, base cuneate to rounded. Flowers 9-12 mm long, 25-30 mm wide; calyx lobes 3-4 mm long; corolla white, purplish red, bluish violet. Fruit tapering to each end, 35-40 mm long.

Europe

Naturalised in the Victorian Dandenongs.
