Finger Flower

Small shrub to about 0.5 m tall. Leaves often in clusters, linear to lanceolate, 2-5 cm long, 2-4 mm wide, the margins entire, toothed or lobed and turned inwards. Flowers solitary or few together, the deep blue flowers carried well above the more or less linear leaves and with petals about 2 cm long; spring. Fruit capsule about 1.5 cm long, not flattened, containing numerous globose shiny seeds often with arils. Syn. c. cyanea Brongn.
