Hairy Hop Bush

Spreading to erect shrub to 2 m tall. Leaves odd-pinnate, 1-3 cm long. Leaflets 6-14, oblong-ovate, entire; margins bent under, the tips toothed or lobed. Flowers 2-3 together. Sepals 4; winter to spring.ovary densely hairy. Fruit capsule 4-winged.

Other species with odd-pinnate leaves that are occasionally cultivated include D. adenophora Miq. from WA, a shrub to about 2 m tall with 4-6 leaflets; and D. microzyga F.Muell., a shrub to 1m or so tall from WA, SA,NT, Qld and NSW with leaflets 5 or 7.
