Euphorbia meloformis Aiton

Plant a dwarf succulent 'cactoid' herb usually with a solitary stem. Stems subglobose, up to 5 cm long and 9.5 cm wide, generally 8-angled, with ribs sharply defined and about 0.5 cm deep, dark green. Stipular spines absent. Leaves rudimentary, soon shed. Cyathophylls not showy, much reduced.
