Euphorbia epithymoides L.

Perennial herb to 65 cm high, multi-stemmed, each stem generally unbranched and biennial. Leaves alternate, clustered in rosette near the top of flowering stems; blades on stems obovate, oblong or elliptic, 20-55 mm long,10-25 mm wide, sessile; blades in whorl-head obovate, oblong or elliptic, 20-55 mm long, 10-25 mm wide, sessile, yellow; blades in floral head not fused, elliptic to elliptic-ovate,10-20 mm long, 8-15 mm wide, sessile. Floral head umbel with 5 rays, each 3-forked, then 2-forked once or twice. Cyathia 2-5.5 mm wide; glands 3, transversely elliptic, yellow. Syn. E. polychroma A. Kerner.
